In 2000, Tene opened his first restaurant called Isabella's Italian Seafood. The restaurant is located in the Historic Fisherman's Wharf at 60 Old Fisherman's Wharf. In honor of his mother and Italian heritage, the menu uses the freshest seafood available, with Italian accents. With spectacular harbor views from every table, customers can watch the marine life -- seals, otters, sea gulls and more -- while they dine. Or, for a stunning view of boats docked in the harbor, customers can dine on the outdoor patio.

In 2002, Tene opened his second restaurant, Cabo's Wild Mexican Seafood. The authentic Mexican food with a panoramic view of the boats in the harbor so close you can almost touch them, makes for one of Monterey's most sought after Mexican restaurants. Specialty dish: Chicken Chili Rellenos.

Lattitudes is Tene's third restaurant which opened in 2005. The perfect setting for a romantic dinner or customers seeking a relaxing ambience, the restaurant overlooks the Pacific Ocean in the cove at Lover's Point. The food at Lattitudes centers around seafood, but with a more modern focus.

Tene also owns a waterfront shopping plaza on historic Cannery Row which houses the Monterey Culinary Center. Tene is working on a seafood cookbook, produces his own televised cooking show, and he plans to open more restaurants as well.
